The Still Parents Podcast provides a platform for men who have faced the heart breaking loss of a baby to openly share their experiences of stillbirth, neonatal death, miscarriage, or medical termination.

Through candid, genuine and surprisingly funny discussions, we challenge societal norms and encourage men to embrace their emotions rather than conform to traditional expectations. The stigma surrounding the devastating impact of baby loss on bereaved parents are prevalent today. Men experience grief just as deeply as women, yet the expectation for men to remain strong and suppress their emotions hinders them from seeking the necessary support. We continue to create a global community, uniting bereaved men through a uniquely devastating experience. Baby loss does not discriminate! We give a voice and validate that it is ok to speak about the ‘worst day of your life’!

WELCOME OUR NEW BRAND AMBASSADOR WILLIAM ELLIS

We are delighted to announce that actor and bereaved father William Ellis, has joined the team and becomes our NEW brand ambassador for the Still Parents Podcast.

William was a guest on the Still Parents Podcast in October 2023, joining us to share his story and journey of grief following the loss of his precious son, Dash in 2017.  William bravely opened up about how grief affected him and spoke honestly and with great dignity. You can listen to his episode here:link

William has shown incredible support to the podcast and we are so pleased to announce that we will now be working together to raise awareness of baby loss and support for bereaved dads going through this devastating grief.

We hope the podcast continues to offer a supportive community base for bereaved dads and parents throughout 2024 and highlights it is ok not to be ok!

I enjoy football, boxing, going to the gym and playing golf. I support Aston Villa FC .

I live by the motto that nobody can do everything but everyone can do something!

My favourite part about doing the podcast is the ability to be able to get men talking and breaking stigmas around the idea that men should be strong and not show weakness using the universal mens language…………. SPORT.’

  • Dan Kelly

I love laughter. I love feeling inspired by people better at life than me (pretty much everyone I meet). I love a comeback story. I LOVED finding out the 'you can't make new friends after 40' rumour is total bollocks. I really bloody love a good steak!

Oh, and I am a Leicester City Fan.

My favourite part about the podcast? Seeing it start to grow to a larger audience, going on national TV and obviously moving into our very own studio. I'm proud of the journey so far’

BEREAVED DAD & CHARITY COMMUNITY PROGRAMMES MANAGER AT THE LILY MAE FOUNDATION

I support the baggies (WBA FC) and in my spare time I enjoy running and watching football.

My favourite part about doing the podcast is firstly making my daughter, Callie, proud but also I think showing men that it’s okay to be vulnerable and to open up about things that they may not talk about if they hadn’t found the Still Parents podcast.’

Ryan, Dan and Matt hosts of The Still Parents Podcast appeared on ITV’s Lorraine Kelly Show on Thursday 25th August with Christine Lampard. The opportunity to appear on the show was a fantastic opportunity to speak to a wider audience about the importance of the Still Parents Podcast and the support it offers to bereaved men following the loss of a baby.

The devastating impact of baby loss and its effects on bereaved parents are still to this day a stigma amongst society. Research shows that men grieve loss as intensely as women yet the social stereotype that men should be strong and bottle up their grief is stopping bereaved men accessing and getting the support they need.

The Still Parents Podcast talks candidly to men who have suffered the devastating loss of a baby to stillbirth, neonatal death, miscarriage or medical termination. The discussions are honest, genuine and hard hitting with the aim of dispelling the societal expectations men are so often expected to show.

Baby loss is s***, we show MEN that it is ok to not be ok!
